We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, organization, account details, campaign participation, donation amount, donor recognition preferences, consent records, and communications with us. We may also collect device and browser information, IP addresses, cookies, and usage information needed to operate and secure the service. You may control cookies through your browser; disabling them may affect certain features.

How we use information

We use information to manage accounts and fundraising campaigns, process and acknowledge donations, provide support, maintain consent and opt-out records, prevent fraud, improve and secure our services, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Public fundraising pages display only information intended for publication, consistent with your recognition preferences.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Payment details are provided to Stripe and handled under its privacy policy and security practices. We do not store full payment card numbers or card security codes. We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, and limited payment information needed for receipts, reconciliation, and support.

Email and SMS consent

We send email and SMS communications via SendGrid and Twilio only with your consent. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of making a donation or purchasing services. You can unsubscribe from email using the unsubscribe link. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You may also contact support@givenextlevel.com for assistance. We retain necessary opt-out records to honor your choices.

SMS / Text Messaging

Mobile numbers and SMS consent are collected only to send the messages you opted into.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate, secure, and improve the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

Sharing and no sale of personal data

We do not sell personal data. We share only the information needed with service providers supporting payments, consented communications, hosting, and operations; with campaign organizers as necessary to administer donations and campaigns; or when required by law or to protect rights and security. These disclosures do not authorize independent third-party marketing. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children's information

Children's fundraising pages are managed by parents or guardians. Children's identifying information on those pages is limited to a first name and last initial. Children should not create accounts or submit personal information independently. Parents or guardians may contact us to review, correct, or request removal of a child's information. If we learn that a child has provided information without appropriate parental involvement, we will take steps to remove it.

Retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to administer accounts and campaigns, support donations, satisfy legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and honor consent preferences. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified, subject to applicable retention requirements and backup cycles. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, withdraw communication consent, or ask about applicable privacy rights by contacting us. California residents may have additional rights under applicable law, including rights to know, delete, correct, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request and retain information where legally required.

Your rights
